Hi, I am Carlien Murray

I am thrilled to share my story with you. Photography for me started when I was backpacking around the world and at first just wanted to capture memories of the places I traveled to.

Soon I realized that this was far more than just a travel hobby and I wanted to capture not only the moments that matter in my own life but I wanted to do that for other people too. 

I completed my formal education in Photography in 2009 and started photographing all genre's to see which field suited me best. There's the "super" early mornings and all the weather elements to catch just the right light for landscapes.

The right combination of light to ensure that it brings out the very best in your products or food.

Getting the angles and the light in just the right position to flatter your skin tone, figure and personality. Knowing how to pose you and make you feel like a million dollars in your own skin.

I still enjoy getting out into the field and you'll often find me chasing light in a great landscape location or which ever vibrant city I find myself in. However in the end I found my niche in photographing people.

My love for portraiture and neo boudoir allows me to capture the essence of a person. Making that person shine by bringing out the emotion in their eyes, capturing them in just the right light and in the most flattering poses. A portrait can tell a whole story in a single image. 

What could be more rewarding than capturing the tiniest little details of a new baby. Moments that parents and loved ones will treasure for eternity. Images that are so powerful, that you will not only remember the day, but it will evoke a feeling, a sound or even a smell.

The feeling that my images convey is very important to me. I take pride in having a great eye for detail and my own unique editing style. Whether I travel to a chosen location or we capture images in my cozy home studio, I insist on perfection and absolute client satisfaction.
